ST LAWRENCE FALL FESTIVAL THANK YOU!!!!!

The 2016 festival committee wants to sincerely thank you for your support of this year's event. The volunteers, visitors, and sponsors were amazing again this year! We could use a little more help if you are able to return any yard signs from around town to the narthex of Church when you come to Mass. Any help is appreciated.

While the rain definitely put a damper on things on Friday and early Saturday, we had our highest attendance ever on Sunday! It will take some time for invoices and expenses to be finalized. We will share the results as soon as we are able to do so.

Congratulations to our Raffle Winners!!!!!!
$1000 Mark Scott
$500 George Wood
$250 Bill & BJ Pfeiffer

Pope Francis wants kids to Care for Creation!

"The earth, our home, is beginning to look more and more like an immense pile of filth” Pope Francis wrote in his encyclical on the environment. “In many parts of the planet, the elderly lament that once beautiful landscapes are now covered with rubbish.”

We can all join Pope Francis in treating the environment better. During this summer’s Vacation Bible School, children ages 4–10 will learn about God’s creation and our role in protecting our planet. VBS will be held 3:00-5:30 p.m. July 24–28 in Father Conen Hall. Cost is $10 per child with a maximum of $25 per family. Scholarships are available. Registration after all Masses on July 8¬9 and 15-16.

This year’s theme is EarthKeepers. Join us July 24–July 28 for songs, games, snacks, crafts, Bible stories, and more as we learn about God’s creation and our role in protecting our planet. Click here to view the flyer and the registration form!

HELP THE HOMELESS

St. Lawrence parishioners have always been very generous with their donations. Thank you very much. Now the pain and discomfort the homeless are suffering leads me to ask for help. We are in need of sun protection products: sun blocks, suntan lotion, sunburn medication, sun hats and sunglasses. Also their feet are a problem Imagine having to walk the streets all day in second hand shoes with all of their earthly belongings in the backpack they carry.

We are in need of foot products such as: foot powder, foot lotions, corn and bunion pads, athlete foot medication, nail clippers, pumice stones, elastic bandages, ankle supports, shower shoes, flip-flops, white socks.

None of these items need to be new. They are grateful for partial-filled containers and gently used products. Our ladies also appreciate cosmetics, lipsticks, eye shadow, nail polish, etc.

As usual we are always in need of camping equipment and pots and pans with metal handles and bicycles.

There will be 2 green containers in the narthex to collect donations. If you need the items picked up, call Marilyn Waltman   317-550-9745

LOW-GLUTEN HOSTS ARE AVAILABLE
