FACILITIES & MAINTENANCE UPDATE
Thank you for your continued monthly support of the Facilities and Maintenance Reserve. These collections offset costs from unexpected repairs that occur throughout the year. The largest repair this year has been $15,000 for two Church compressors controlling our A/C. We also leveled the concrete in front of the church doors to even the slope for improved safety.
IN GIVING, WE RECEIVE
This week you will receive a brochure detailing the In Giving, We Receive commitment campaign our parish will be participating in over the next few weeks. This informative brochure is intended to communicate how we, as a parish, want to advance our mission and how we are serving God’s people in our community. Commitment Sunday for this program is Sunday, May 19. We encourage all parishioners to spend time in prayer and discussion with your family reflecting on how you are able to help us. We look forward to seeing all of our parishioners at Mass next weekend for this very important Commitment Sunday. If you have any questions regarding the In Giving, We Receive, please feel free to contact the parish office.
World Day of Prayer for Vocations
Will be observed on Sunday, May 12, 2019, also known as "Good Shepherd Sunday." The purpose of this day is to publically fulfill the Lord's instruction to, "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest" (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2). Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord's call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular institutes. You can find many resources to promote a culture of vocations at www.usccb.org/vocations
Please keep food out of the Church sanctuary and narthex. Ants are especially bad this time of year. Our maintenance crew has been cleaning up smashed crackers and cookies on the floor and in the pews. Please help us keep our church building clean and insect free. Thank you to everyone for your help.
