O Mary, Mother of the Unborn,
protects the gift of human life which your
Divine Son has allowed to be given.
Give strength and joy to all parents as
they await the birth of the precious
child they have conceived.
Give courage to those who are fearful,
calm those who are anxious and guide
all of us, with your motherly care, to
treasure and protect the miraculous gift
of human life.
We ask this through your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
“I am a feather on the breath of God”
As the quote above portrays, we are upheld by the power and purpose of God. Our very existence on earth, from our body’s first breath to its last, when we leave it to return home, is our Father’s choice and happens only by His willing to do so. He who created the universe also created that which is “me”. I do not “have” a soul – I AM a soul, as well as a body. My entire purpose in this life is to find my way back to my Creator.
O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life: Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the Gospel of Life with honesty and love to the people of our time. Obtain for them the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout our lives and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen
On Access for All
“All people need and should have access to comprehensive, quality health care that they can afford, and it should not depend on their stages of life, where or whether they or their parents work, how much they earn, where they live, or where they were born. The Bishops’ Conference believes health care reform should be truly universal and it should be genuinely affordable.
-Bishop William F. Murphy, USCCB letter to Congress dated July 17.

Prayer to Our Blessed Mother from Pope Benedict XVI
Let us pray to Mary,
Mother of the Lord, so that she will enable us to feel her love as a woman and a mother, in which we can understand all of the depth of Christ's mystery.
The Lord bless you all!
-Pope Benedict, XVI
Prayer to Christ Unborn
Dear Lord Jesus in the womb
of Blessed Virgin Mary,
before your birth You filled
the unborn Baptist
with the joy of the Holy Spirit.
Inspire us to see You
in every unborn child.
Grant us the perseverance
to defend vulnerable human life from
abortion, abandonmnet,
experimentation, and all violations.
Fill us with reverence for the moment
of your Incarnation in Nazareth
when the Word became flesh.
Amen.
A Pro-Life Prayer for Our President and Public Officials
Lord God, Author of Life and Source of Eternal Life,
move the hearts of all our public officials and especially
our President, to fulfill their responsibilities worthily and well to all those entrusted to their care.
Help them in their special leadership roles, to extend the
mantle of protection to the most vulnerable, especially the
defenseless unborn, whose lives are threatened with
extermination by an indifferent society.
Guide all public officials by your wisdom and grace to
cease supporting any law that fails to protect the
fundamental good that is human life itself, which is a
gift from God and parents.
You are the Protector and Defender of the lives of the
innocent unborn. Change the hearts of those who
compromise the call to protect and defend life. Bring
our nation to the values that have made us a great
nation, a society that upholds the values of life, liberty,
and the pursuit of happiness for all.
Mary, the Mother of the living, help us to bear witness to the Gospel of Life with our lives and our laws,
through Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.

Life is Precious
“We have great hope in the Lord’s power to heal our land of the painful wound of legalized abortion. Every abortion is a personal tragedy. Its dread impacts falls not only on a little boy or girl, but also on the child’s parents, grandparents, siblings and everyone involved. Knowing that God’s mercy is greater than all of our sins, tonight we pray for all these people. We pray for the conversion of all of those who promote death as a solution to social ills or to an unplanned pregnancy. We pray for legislators, educators, counselors and all health care professionals who put their skills and training at the service of life. We lift up Project Rachel and other post-abortion counseling ministries, pro-life pregnancy centers, and organizations that work every day to usher in a culture of life.”
Homily of Cardinal Justin Rigali, Vigil Mass for Life, January 21, 2009
Pro Life Rosary to Our Blessed Mother
O Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of us all, we turn to you today as the one who said “Yes” to Life. Mary, we pray today for all mothers who are afraid to be mothers. We pray for those who feel threatened and overwhelmed by their pregnancy. Intercede for them, that God may give them the grace to say yes and the courage to go on. May they have the grace to reject the false solution of abortion. May they experience the help of Christian people and know the peace that comes from doing God’s will. Amen.
INTERCESSIONS FOR LIFE
For all health care providers: That their work in service to the blind, the lame, and all the sick may be animated by a spirit of charity in truth so as to bring God’s healing to both body and soul and promote a culture of life; We pray to the Lord.
The Church's Tradition
From the earliest traditions of the Church to the present day, the mission of evangelization to which Jesus sent his followers has included healing as a major part.
