(museum hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
Girl Scouts are encouraged to come early and explore the galleries of the Indiana State Museum, meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, view vintage toys and ride the Santa Claus Express train in nostalgic Celebration Crossing.
Girl Scouts are also encouraged to embrace the spirit of the season and bring donations to benefit The Villages - champions for every child's right to a safe, permanent and nurturing home.
Donation wish list includes:
Favorite books and movies (movies need to be rated G or PG) - take a minute to write a note in the book or movie about why this is your favorite.
Personal Care Kits - including items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste/toothbrush, etc.
Hats, Scarves and Gloves
Duffle Bags - you could fill a bag with items above!
Parking is $3 at the White River State Park Garage adjacent to the museum; show your parking stub at the museum’s ticket counter for validation at this special rate.

Eiteljorg Museum Scout Programs
Scouts: Collect the Scouting the West Patch and Rockers
Ongoing (All Day)
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and their leaders, too, can collect their very own "Scouting the West" patch while visiting the Eiteljorg. Patches cost an additional $1 and are not included in museum admission costs. Ask about the patch at the front desk. You can participate in the self-directed activity or plan a group visit (see the Scheduling Group Visits heading under the Education section to call for a group discount) to get your patch. Patches are only available if you visit the Eiteljorg Museum to Scout the West!
“Art,” “History,” “Culture,” and “Indian Market” rockers are also available for scouts to purchase for $1 when you take part in an Eiteljorg Museum program that relates to one of these areas. For example, if you visit us or volunteer for Indian Market (June 23-24, 2007), you can earn the “Indian Market” rocker. If you take part in a special class or workshop (see our listing in Programs and Events) you can earn one of the other rockers.
