Youth Council
The youth council creates, plans, advertises, and facilitates youth ministry activities for the parish. The junior high and high school youth councils will meet once a month. High School meets on Wednesday, November 7 from 7-8:30p.m. Junior High meets on Tuesday, November 6 from 2:45-4:00 p.m. |

Special Olympics Bowling Service Hours
Our next event is a bowling tournament November 3, 2007 at Woodland Bowl, 96th and Keystone Avenue. We will be working from
8:30 am - 11:00 am and jobs include the following: lane assistants (assisting athletes), runners, scorers, and announcing awards. We need names of volunteers by 10/19 so we can order shirts for them. This event is coordinated by Holly Blagburn and the Knights of Columbus Saint Joseph council |

High School Summer Mission Trips!
We are headed to New York City and New Orleans this summer on mission trips! New Orleans, Louisiana: June 14th through June 21st Brooklyn, New York: July 26th through August 3rd. Students currently in grades 9-12 are invited. A $100.00 deposit will guarantee your spot. Spots are limited. Contact me if you are interested in the trip.

Please pray for the high school youth from our parish that are attending the National Catholic Youth Conference in Columbus, Ohio from November 8th through the 11th!

Thanksgiving Food Baskets Service Hours
We are going to Holy Cross to fill Christmas food baskets for the poor on Sunday, November 18th. They have brown bags filling every pew and seat as far as the eye can see! We will go to the 10:15 mass at Holy Cross and then fill bags until 1:00 p.m. Feel free to bring your whole family! Contact Jen Wesolowski for more details |

New Confirmation Class Forming
Saint Lawrence invites 9th-12th grade students who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation to enroll in confirmation preparation classes. This program is a prerequisite for confirmation, whether our child attends a Catholic or public high school.
If you missed the meeting and want to enroll, please contact me!
Please bring with you the following items: (1) completed registration form and (2) a copy of your baptismal certificate. A fee of $50.00 will be charged to cover preparation costs. Recycle Ink Jet Cartridges and Help St. Lawrence Youth Group
Don’t throw away that empty ink jet printer cartridge. BRING IT TO CHURCH! We’re collecting ink jet cartridges as a fund-raiser for Youth Ministry and SMRE. The next time you change your printer cartridge, drop the old one into the collection box outside the Religious Goods Store. |
